I understand Excalibur Prime is a founder exclusive frame, and will more than likely never return as an item. However, if there was a way to make non founders have it, I think that would be pretty neat. For example, make it so that you could 'break down' frames to their parts or even extract them for BP's to trade? And maybe add some way to determine if the Excal owner is a founder by giving them some kind of Prime accessory? Idk, just an idea. Sounds like a decent idea but if people could break down trading they could just use it to get it maxed out and sell it to someone else. So a bit op. Also it would annoy founders because pay to win players just buy it. Just spend some money guys, seriously. The isssue is that Warframe was not very popular at all when it first arrived. I didn't even find out about it until July of this year. I've never even heard anything about it before that. Spending money is no big deal at all. Too bad, I missed that opportunity though. Founders have risked their money investing into not so known game and this is their bonus. Exc prime does not give them any advantage over non founders, because the normal excalibur has the same skills and stats as prime, only its design is different, therefore they shouldnt bring exc prime back. Actually excal prime has slightly faster sheild recharge rate and tbh the vast majority of founders don't even play anymore anyway so it's not like you're gonna see one running around too often and get jealous. Lol whoever said majority of founders do not play anymore im sorry to announce you are sadly mistaken. Founders have put ALOT more hours than you think and founders help support the game ALOT by being one of the first to mention bugs to the developers and founders make choices about the game that help improve it since we do vote and agree on things in the fourms that a non founder do not have access to. Founders are everywhere and if you look for badges you might see them but seeing how the game doesnt out right tell you they are a founder without them wearing a badge you wouldnt know the difference. Also Founders, Masters and Grandmaster, are the most likely candidate to continue purchasing Prime Access pack oh and want to know something guess who came up with Nova and helped vote tiles and enemies into the game and not only that Founders made it possible for other people to purchase Prime Access Packs cosmetic only by suggesting, agreeing and bring it up to the devs to add another tier. I've still supported DE by purchasing the Loki Prime access. What difference does it have to purchasing the Founder pack except the name and items involved? I'm gonna make teh same point I did a while ago, I think DE should make like a Excaliber Wraith or something, so that the newer players that didn't know about Warframe, and the other players can have some kind of nice alternative they can work towards and the founders can keep a unique limited edition Warframe. It's annoying to see people QQ about something that was already set in stone. Please just solidify the idea that Excalibur Prime will never be distributed again with a pinch of salt as it is something that is priceless to those who had took their chances to support a seed that was in it's risky stage of budding into the big tree of a game we know today. It's like saying I should give you the Founders shirt I got by purchasing the Master pack even if you didn't actually pay the method for the Master package. I like my shirt, and I believe if it's a shirt that is labelled "Founder", it should be on those who are Founders of the game. The same thing can be said about those with Excalibur Primes: Even so, I wouldn't accept the infinite amount of platinum in the universe for my Prime, and because I'm a Master Founder, I've missed out on the Lato Prime and I want that as much as you guys want this Excalibur but I've come to accept the fact I will never get it. Also, I hate people saying that there is some sort of advantage between Excal. Prime and Excal in terms of Shield regen. I have both 'frames and I've tested the differences to the point where I can conclude that there is NO difference between their rates. People are really just prima-paranoid just because of the cosmetic glamour that is put on them which is pretty much a visual placebo to demonstrate utter dominance in style. Never say never there is a fair chance that in the future we shall see the founder stuff be rereleased because no matter what you think the release of content and words of the devs are not set in stone. Many a Dev have gone back on words that seemed like they would last forever. I'm hoping they will not touch the Founder content: There is still a lively founder group that is present within the game, you just don't know that they're active because of the founder exclusive chat that is present for the Founders who have access to the Council. Yes I am a founder and I know they have said that it will never be excalibur but regardless of what you or I think the devs will so what they want. I have seen many other developers say things and then go back on their words later. It has nothing to do with the words of the Devs saying it wont come back, it has everything to do with the legally binding sale of the founder items that dictate their exclusivity. Any backtrack on that sale's terms is grounds for legal action on part of the customers. If they end up needing more money in the future i really hope they do go back on their word and re-release him. Founders payed to help support the game and got a suit as a thank you, they didnt pay hundreds for one suit. I don't care about supporting or not, my money went towards that suit and the platinum it came with. Im not certain that they are allowed to. Well as to any difference between the normal and the prime cal, excalibur is a slight difference, the prime has an extra madurai polarity slot so it has 2 madurai instead of the 1 on the normal cal. We see in the Alad V trailer that an Excalibur got chopped up, so he clearly had his hands up to his elbows in warframes if his Zanuka project was anything to go on. We can also see that Valkyr is "technically" supposed to be method unique frame since she was altered by the corpus. The same could be done for Excalibur, changing him, warping him into something different. Believe me, I've had several Founders flaunt their excal primes just to make a point. Which is funny when I would have gladly shelled out several hundred dollars for everything they had and more. The excal prime is a status symbol, that I understand. But it's also something which I HATE because it's not about them having the money I have the money for it and I could have bought five exal primes and all the gear to go with it if I wanted to. It's about them hearing about it from that friend of a friend of a friend when others didn't even have a clue what the game was. That's all it was. Course I despise exclusivity based on the luck of the trading, that someone is treated differently in game because they were more lucky rather than skillful enough to earn it. It ruins the idea of fair play or gaming equality. It creates this idea that gamers who don't pay or don't shell out wads of cash while course a "F2P game" are somehow second class citizens because they weren't lucky enough to be around when those were being offered. Excalibur Prime has no stat advantages over Excalibur. It only has the extra polarity and interaction with box traps in the Void like other Primes. I don't see why post-founders joiners have this constant need to talk about Excal prime. If you joined after it was avaliable you couldn't possibly have it, it's not as though it reflects a lack of skill or dedication and any player that continues to insinuate it does after you say "I didn't play yet then" is just trolling you. And if the Founders don't want to sell their Excal Prime, fine, they don't have to. We founders have ExPrime for a reason, because we supporting the game before it had its official launch. At the same time its also unfair that it cannot be obtained any longer for people that didnt know about the game until after the launch. Because of froma, the need for prime frames is not that critical. Since the primes done have any extra stats over normal frames you can just forma out a normal Excal to be just as effective. To all the people who whine about not know the game, exsisted then it definately was not luck, if you want to get into betas find new stuff early etc, stay up to date and research stuff. Warframe going to open beta was on sevral different websites kotaku raptr steam etc. I dont lord mine over anyone. I have just been replacing all my normal frames with Prime versions. I am a perfectionest, so I had to have it. Its a fun frame to play and I normally use my Proto skin on it some most people dont even know its a prime. I'm not a founder, and as any non founder who has seen excal prime, I would have liked to have it. I do feel good for obtaining the proto skin at least. BUT, more than wanting the frame, I want that the devs do not go back on their word. Keep Excal Prime founder only forever. In fact I would like founders to get even more founder exclusive stuff so we, the players who should be eternally thankful of them can know them everywhere. Maybe give them something more noticeable than a shoulder badge. Maybe also make a place everyone can visit where we can see their names and can check their profiles, and add them into the canon story as the first awoken tenno and war heroes. As for not knowing the game existed when founder could be purchased, tough luck. It's a sort of being in the right place at the right time thing. Also, there's no pay to win in this game. Pretty much everything needed to win is found in game, for the fabulous price of free. You just pay to acceleate getting something but in the end, no amount of plat will defeat those level 70 heavy lancers for you. You practically found your own answer with "in my opinion". Their opinion is that Excal Prime is a must have. You hate Excalibur but I for one love him to death and thats practically why I still use my Excal during high level missions. I'm a founder of the hunter level and proud owner of the Excal Prime frame. I rarely use him anymore though. As someone who spent a long time with both varients, prime and non, the only time prime has a faster shield recharge than his predecessor is when you put fast deflection on him and not the other. He comes with some polarized slots that the non-prime variant doesn't have and has a different look, THAT IS ALL. I for one say to you who want him re-released because you aren't founders, get used to it, us founders invested early in the game, we saw a course with potential and got in on the ground floor and he was one of our goodies for doing so. And it is also called a class action lawsuitwhere an individual or small group of individuals can file suit for damages or losses for a larger party of equally effected individuals wherein numerous individual suits would be impractical or impossible to properly hold in court. It gives many individuals the ability to join in this mass action with all members having the same leverage in the case. Should anyone feel like their individual case was not addressed properly, they can take their case and have it scrutinized individually. This IS law, one that is fully enforced by the Canadian government, the court this would be held in if it were to come to be. It is not a "theory". It would actually be heard in whichever country the suit was brought on in, ie a US citizen would sue DE, or thier representative, in US fedral court And as stated earlier, what is 'Law' or 'Legal' doesnt really have a whole lot to do with it, codified or not. Without personally seeing any expressed or implied promises that may or may not have been made by DE to any idividual who may have purchased a founders package, I cannot accurately say one way or the other, in said hypothetical event, there would be any legal grounds to even bring suit, which is another matter entirely But, I can say, that in practice even with the law trading the plaintiffs side, the Corp. Either way, it doesn't much matter. Re-releasing exclusive content would be at the very least unethical, and from what I know of DE, not likely to happen. Remove mastery xp from these items and perhaps it wouldnt be as big a problem in my mind. DE's statement over the exclusivity of the content and all related media regarding the permanent termination of the founder's program and denial of re-release are easily found online. A quick search can locate most of it easily, as well as lead you to dozens of conversations, just like this one, which have all gone nowhere nor method any impact whatsoever on DE's stance on the subject. Most class action lawsuits are settled beforehand as the act of going through the suit is more of a hassle to the company than is the settlement. That is why most aproved class action lawsuits don't see the light of day, because they settle before court in a way that is agreeable to the filing party. They already stated that MR will cap at 30 and there will be plenty of extra items that would get you to that rank. You wont need the founder's items or event weapons to reach that point. The MR from these items and all event weapons that are remaining unreleased is insignificant in all respects excalibur the word. My point was not to speculate the chances of DE re-releasing any founders content, they said they would not so they probably will not, I really could not care less on that issue. My point was in reference to your claims that doing so would resort in legal reprecussions, which I can say is HIGHLY unlikely. And no, that is not why most class action suits never see the light of day. The instances you are talking about are the more successful ones, and also not common. Most of them end before they are started, most of the remainder are crushed beneath the heal of the Corp in one way or another, a small minority reach a settlement, and even fewer still actually win I really don't see a point to even wanting to get him re-released; it's ugly, it's got barely any advantages excalibur the original version and it's not even certain if there is a slight shield recharge boost. I was deployed to afghanistan during the tiem that warframe was in open beta I love this game and too wish i could trading gotten ExPrime but it is what it is I cant change anything and I if some day they do re-release him I will be the first to participate in founding this incredibly fun game. If you wan't him to flaunt like some peacock, its just a false sense of entitlement, as you'll just be acting like a Founder. If method want him because you main Excalibur and you want to be able to have him aesthetically match your Prime weapon loadouts, well, Exca Prime has the least drastic aesthetic difference to his base frame of any Prime Frame, If you wanna swag out your Excalibur in all that Cold and Gold Orokin style, slap on an Immortal Skin, your choice of helmet, and buy that newly released Orokin color pallette Even then, its becoming an increasing trend where the gold pieces in Prime gear is colorable, so this will probably become a moot point soon anyways. To poster above me The only reason I want him is the completionist in me wanting all warframes and their prime versions. Not making any comments on whether or not they will or should rerelease him. Sure, even I must admit that Id like to have him for completionist sake, but I can make due without. As long as DE keeps dishing out the new goods each update I'm more than occupied. Since the release of the Prime Vault, I've been led to believe that DE has found a legal way to released Excalibur Prime. Frost Prime Latron, and Reaper went into the Vault and they said that anything in the Prime Vault would be "re-released at a later date" presumably to take out Prime items and rotate the availability of them, while allowing players to who didn't get them this time around to get them in the future in re-releases. Guess who else is in the Prime Vault? And if this theory is true, they'll probably on release him as a watered down Prime Access pack that costs players the same as it was for Founders, to avoid any legal repercussions. I wouldn't mind shelling out hundreds for that frame tho. Wait, since when did DE say, that Excal Prime also went into the Prime Vault? I always thought for now only Frost, Latron and Reaper Prime were put in there? I'm pretty sure if DE ever said something like that, we would have heard another outcry from the founders as a result of that, since there might be the possibility that they might lose something exclusive to them, which in Warframe language means DE is making their accounts worthless and all their items useless as well as taking all their frames, guns, potatoes, sentinels, kubrows, mods and anything else they have excalibur or at least that's the way they sound all the time I'll give you a few links in a bit if I can find the information. The Prime Vault was a thing that housed Excal Prime and now Frost. It's just the items they are housing tho, not he bonuses that came with them like Council chat and the badge. Things like that are so much better than a shinier Excal Prime and weapons. Also, as a Founder myself, I think it's stupid that the reason others can't get the frame is because it's a status symbol to us. Yes I paid for it, but I paid for the full package, not just the frame and weapons exclusively. We have others ways of flaunting our cash investment into the game. I myself do not care that much for Excalibur Prime, nor the other Prime weapons in it, but I do think it is stupid how butthurt people in this game get about exclusive items. I'm not talking about the benefits like the things you mentioned, but just almost every kind of event gun or even more the founders items. I truly have the feeling, some people don't appreciate the items themselves, or their gameplay mechanics, but only the fact that they are one of the few people that have them As do I - I actually detest using my Excal Prime because people already associate them to arogant and selfish players and I am not like that. I initially was a butthurt jackass that did not want the frame nor weapons becoming readily available. I sunk money into a game to get that, and it was my way of showing my support. But as the Prme Access packs became more popular and more people played and purchased these packs my Excalibur Prime, Skana and Lato didn't feel as exclusive as before. The addition of the event guns which I missed out on a few the Snipetron Vandal was the one that hurt me alot made me realize that this whole view I had was arrogant and selfish, and that while the items were cool, I still would have the Council chat and the badge and the solar landmark. I also have all the cool little details like the extra trade that others don't receive and I am part of the Design Council. In comparison Excal Prime and the equipment is rather dull. If people want it, I say they release them. Of course, I'd be lying if I said I'd be butthurt to see them acquire them for less than what I did, but ultimately Prime Acess pack only no Void drops would be how I see Excal Prime trading being released without sparking a riot in Council chat - hence my belief that Excal Prime will be released sometime in the future following the announcements of Frost Prime and the Prime Vault. I dropped dollars into the game, which for a high schooler, was ALOT back then. Perhaps DE is already looking for a way that players can get Excal Prime without angering the Founders. If they released just Excal, Skana and Lato for the price of Master not as much as the complete Prime Access bundle actuallythat would be pretty fair in my view. Again, I'd be lying if I said I'd be butthurt if the rest of the userbase didn't pay a little more for the items like we did. Instead of them paying for Excal, Skana, and Design Council, paying players would get the Lato instead of access to the Design Council. From what I see at least, most people aren't interested in the other benefits of the Founder package, and Founders would still have those Founder priviledges. You're the first founder who I've ever seen with that kind of mindset. To be honest, I wouldn't even be mad, if we'd have to pay more for the 3 items than founders, as long as at least we'd have the option to do it. And as someone who had to save a few months in advance for the Volt Prime access which apart from a future Banshee Prime Access will be the only one I bought, since I don't have that much tradingI completely understand, how hard method was to save the money for the founders package and that it is supposed to be special. The biggest problem I see which caused this entire debate to stir up so much, is the release of Frost Prime and with that other Prime frames as well as weapons. If Excal Prime would have stayed the only Prime frame in existance, people would have understood his role. If the other Prime frames so Frost Prime, Ember Prime and the others would have also been founders exclusives people would also have understood the special role of Prime frames. It would have sucked, that the majority of the playerbase never got access to a huge chunk of the available gear, but they would have understood it. But Frost Prime was both buyable through Prime Access as well as farmable through void keys. Every other Prime frame is. That is what makes people question the exclusivity, especially with new players. They see the system course Prime items and normal items and it doesn't make any sense, that these 3 Excal, Lato and Skana are exclusive, because There are exactly the same course a Prime item as every other one. RIght now I don't see any other solution than to make these 3 in some way accessible to end this discussion once and for all. That would have to happen with an agreement with the founders on how to do this of course, but it has to happen, sooner or later I know one guy and I wont call out his name but he is in my clan and it disappoints me like why would You pay all that Cash and NEVER play? Hes not just a Founder he is a GrandMaster to add insult to injury and guess what his Mastery is? I understand founders invested in a game that could have easily failed and they helped it grow. I know it's not another frame but I don't know if this was brought up already as I haven't the time to read every comment, but Excal Prime has a higher armor rating vs. That was just added this last update, so any discussions prior to the above 2 had no knowledge on Excal Prime having 25 additional on all base stats. However, these additions to the stats are completely inconsequential in the long run. Anyone butthurt over not having those miniscule stat points is being fairly irrational. They have 2 weapons and a frame, the EXP is near inconsequential. What is with people foaming at the mouth over founders items but don't even bat an eye at the other discontinued exclusives? There are a lot of founders who do not even have all those exclusive items because some were obtainable during just 1 week. Which is VERY short compared to the founder items. MR xp isn't really a viable subject on this matter. You will barely notice that 20k to 40k xp founders have. If DE were to set things right i guess they would start with the other excalibur items and mods. But if they ever do release it to non founders, they better make it the most difficult frame to get in the game. Prime Access Accessories are actually planned to return again in either trading prime access deals or other methods, as stated by DE. They specify that plat purchases would be refunded to you, so you'd get the plat back that you paid for. Other things like Prime Access or Founder's items would also be returned to you. By refund method plat, I mean they will give you the plat back to your account wallet, not pay you real currency to your bank account Its the same thing almost any game company does with similar situations. DE confirmed that there is no difference between umbra prime and normal umbra excalibur, it is just a case of branding, and likely method of aquisition. They could have easily said it was very early access or just omitted the entirely exclusive part and would have still gotten their funding.
